This is the second time that I have installed a new load center from the main panel in order to create room on the busbar for the new 2 pole solar breaker. In this case, There were 2 main 100 Amp breakers, one feeding the subpanel for the entire house, and the other feeding a small panel for the pool and air conditioning. I was able to feed my new load center by removing the house subpanel feed, and then tapping back into it in the attic, this time feeding it from my new load center 100 Amp breaker.

Service 'Shifts' for Solar
