So much can be done with lighting.  It has a profound effect on our environment, our mood, our feeling of calm and safety.  This video shows an example of the use of LED lighting in a maternity ward to help make the birthing process more peaceful and enjoyable.  Love!

Light Fixtures Everywhere

My eyes are trained to spot interesting light fixtures everywhere I go.  I recently spent the weekend at Embassy Suites in Raleigh, North Carolina.  These star shaped chandeliers are hanging in the lobby.  Every room has a different style of light fixture.  The choice to make them all eye catching in a different way makes me happy.  Gotta love lighting design, it's the best way to create ambiance.
